SR11 Medium friction Compound brake pads from EBC have been developed for competition use and feature sintered metal powdered alloys to provide a pad which has incredible bite from cold and is capable of outlasting semi-metallic race pads by up to 5 times. This makes them a firm favourite for endurance racing but they are equally capable in any form of Motorsport.

Most brake pad compounds comprise of organic or semi-metallic materials. EBC decided on a different approach for the SR11 compound and instead use a blend of compressed and heat fused (sintered) metal powder alloys. The result is a competition brake pad with no down sides. It performs exceptionally well from cold, it is fade resistant up 900° C and lasts longer than just about any other brake pad. It also offers superb control and low compressability gives am improved pedal feel for driver confidence lap after lap. It also has a very low wear rate for discs.
