A Charge Cooler works on a very similar basis to an uprated intercooler but uses water instead of air to provide additional cooling a key component to this system is the charge cooler. The PolarCooler upgrade charge cooler core size is increased over the OE system which speeds up heat transfer and increases cooling characteristics which should, in turn, lead to lower overall operating temperatures and a quicker reduction in temperatures once the system is hot.
The Forge PolarCooler Chargecooler is designed to specifically fit your vehicle without requiring further modification making it faster and easier to install and features an all aluminium Tig welded construction that overcomes crack and split failures common to plastic components, with a durable black powder-coat finish to resist corrosion.
The larger core capacity with its unique quadruple pass, bar and plate flow system passes water 4 times through the cooler giving greater performance over the OEM parts and other aftermarket coolers. Additional features include the expansion tank with its filler cap and sight-glass that makes it easy to ensure the correct coolant level with no air pockets is maintained and the addition of a 1/8 NPT port on the outlet tank is ready for water/methanol injection if required.
All Forge Chargecoolers are pressure tested to 4Bar before despatch, so you can rest assured your new parts are up to the demands of your performance engine.
