The Helix 7.25" (184mm) Rally Clutch Cover Assembly is designed to transfer high levels of engine power and torque to the transmission in demanding road, track and competition applications. Its one-piece aluminium construction, lug drive design, 184mm diameter and choice of diaphragm spring configurations allow it to manage high loads, improve heat dissipation and maintain reliable operation at sustained engine speeds.
Discover the key features of this clutch cover assembly:
- 7.25" (184mm) Compact Diameter Design: The compact 184mm diameter reduces rotational mass within the clutch assembly, helping the engine accelerate and decelerate more freely which improves throttle response and provides a more direct connection between engine speed and vehicle performance.
- One-Piece Aluminium Cover Construction: Manufactured from a single-piece aluminium housing, the cover efficiently dissipates heat generated during clutch operation which helps maintain stable clutch performance and supports consistent operation during repeated high-load use.
- Lug Drive Mechanism: The lug drive arrangement allows friction material dust to escape more effectively from the clutch assembly, helping to reduce contamination within the cover and supporting smoother engagement during prolonged use.
- High Power and Torque Capability: Engineered specifically for vehicles producing substantial power and torque outputs, the assembly provides the clamping force required to maintain reliable power transfer and reduce the likelihood of clutch slip under heavy load.
- Single, Twin and Triple Plate Compatibility: Available for use with single, twin or triple plate clutch configurations, the assembly allows you to select a setup that matches your vehicle requirements while maintaining compatibility with a wide range of driveline specifications.
- Cerametallic and Organic Drive Plate Compatibility: Designed for use with either cerametallic paddle plates or organic friction plates, the cover assembly supports different clutch characteristics, allowing you to tailor engagement behaviour to suit your application.
- Lightweight Aluminium Construction: The reduced weight of the aluminium cover lowers the clutch assembly's moment of inertia, helping the engine respond more quickly to throttle inputs and contributing to a more responsive driving experience.
- Sustained High RPM Operation: The robust design is intended to withstand continuous operation at elevated engine speeds, helping maintain dependable clutch performance during extended periods of hard use.
- Multiple Diaphragm Spring Options: Available with a choice of diaphragm spring types to suit different release bearing faces, the assembly enables correct component matching which supports reliable clutch release and consistent pedal operation.
Improved engine responsiveness and dependable power transmission become particularly valuable when your vehicle is subjected to repeated high-load acceleration, sustained high engine speeds and demanding driving conditions. The combination of lightweight aluminium construction, effective heat management and flexible configuration options allows this clutch cover assembly to integrate into a wide range of driveline setups. It is a practical addition to your transmission system when reliable clutch performance is required from a high-power vehicle.
Diaphragm Spring Options: These cover assemblies are available with different diapgragm spring configurations depending on the release bearing type to be used.
- Straight diaphragm spring - For use with release bearings which have a curved face and a fulcrum point between 48-54mm
- Curly diaphragm spring - For use with release bearings which have a flat face and a fulcrum point between 48-54mm
- Diaphragm spring with release bearing plate - For use with flat face carbon release bearings
