The Filter King from Malpassi is a very popular unit for carburettor equipped cars as it both regulates fuel pressure and filters fuel without restriction. Pressure is adjusted via a screw on top of the unit and the range is 1.5 - 7 Psi. The filter bowl is easily removed to enable the 10 micron pleated paper filter element to be cleaned / replaced.

These high flow models are designed for high flow at moderate pressures making them better suited to bigger capacity engines. Fitted with an 85mm bowl and a pleated paper filter (replacement filters are available to buy separately). All High Flow Filter King regulators have a 1/8 NPT female port so a gauge can be used if required, allowing the pressure to be set accurately. If the hose fitting option required isn't offered with a gauge, a fuel pressure gauge can be purchased as a separate item. It is advisable that once the desired fuel pressure is set, the gauge is removed and replaced with the blanking plug.
