These oil take of plates are engine specific and designed to fit in place of the original oil filter assembly which means a remote oil filter head will need to be used (sold separately). The plates have oil take of ports which allow aftermarket oil coolers to be fitted and because they replace the OEM filter assembly they can be useful for engine conversions where the original filter may foul other components.
