The Varley Red Top Grid Start is used by vehicle recovery companies such as the AA, but also most motorsport teams connect the Grid Start as a slave battery when starting the engine to conserve the on board power.
It is available supplied with either a 175A Anderson jack plug or crocodile clip connectors. These power packs can be recharged via the mains or a 12 Volt vehicle supply. Features include surge/spike protection, On/Off isolator switch and a ''push to test'' charge indicator. The rugged Polyethylene case protects the unit from damage, and keeps it resistant to oils and other contaminants found in workshops/garages.
Every Grid Start is supplied with a 12 Volt multi stage charger.
