HELICOIL plus thread repair kits are primarily aimed at the professional user. The Plus inserts allow easy installation of a new thread in only a few steps.

Kits contain all the necessary tools and three different lengths of HELICOIL plus inserts, together with step by step instructions for use. Wire with rhombic profile is formed into elastic spirals with the first thread made smaller to aid in fitment. Simply place it and screw it in like a screw using an installation mandrel with similar dimensions to those of a tap. The thread insert with its precision-formed rhombic profile runs through freely turn for turn. The result is an internal thread that is true to gauge and accepts the insertion of a screw at both ends.
