This plumbed in fire extinguisher kit from FEV is electrically operated and has a 3.5 litre capacity which discharges through 6 nozzles (4 engine bay and 2 cockpit). The extinguisher uses F-TEC, a foam based extinguishant which provides rapid fire out times and high resistance to re-ignition.

The F-TEC extinguishant used in this system has proven to be effective on class B hydrocarbon flammable liquids such as petrol, diesel, oil, kerosene and LNG, and is freeze protected to -15°C. The nozzles have been developed to produce a finer mist which results in a much larger surface area coverage.
The FEV F-TEC 3.5 litre electrical fire extinguisher kit includes: Steel bottle pre-filled with F-TEC extinguishant, bracket and T-bolt straps, 2 x cockpit nozzles, 4 x engine bay nozzles, 10mm and 8mm tubing, connectors, tube clips, control box with wiring harness, internal fire button, external fire button, 2 x 'E' stickers.
