The Form-A-Shield from Design Engineering is ideal for use where there is a need to completely block or reflect very high temperatures. Featuring a 10mm dimpled aluminium sheet combined with 1/4" high temperature resistant Basalt insulation matting, the Form-A-Shield is capable of withstanding direct temperatures of up to 760°C / 1400°F.

Supplied as a matting, the Form-A-Shield can be moulded to suit the application and secured in place using either the Design Engineering spray adhesive or using any form of mechanical fixing method. The matting can be applied directly to the heat source and is suitable for use with exhaust manifolds, pipes or mufflers and can be trimmed to suit.
