Sunoco Racing Methanol fuel is produced to the highest possible standards and its purity exceeds 99.85%. Methanol's high octane value and oxygen content (50%) make it a popular fuel. It produces good power and burns cool which helps control engine temperatures. Methanol fuel does have some negatives, it is very corrosive with soft metals and some rubbers and it burns with a colourless flame making a methanol fuelled fire difficult to see.
