An Air to water cooling system works on a very similar basis to an uprated intercooler but uses water instead of air to provide additional cooling, a key component to this system is the intercooler. The Mishimoto performance air-to-water intercooler core size is increased over the OE system by 29% which speeds up heat transfer and increases cooling characteristics which should, in turn, lead to lower overall operating temperatures and a quicker reduction in temperatures once the system is hot.
The larger core capacity with its unique single-pass coolant bar and plate design passes air more consistently thanks to specially designed internal air diverters in the end tanks giving 16% greater airflow over the OEM stock parts.
