ProComp S2 compound brake pads from PBS brakes have been developed to provide higher friction level than the ProComp S1 with a slightly higher temperature temperature rage. This makes them ideal for sprints, hill climbs, rally and short distance races on cars with higher grip levels. They offer a high initial bite and have the highest friction coefficient of the ProComp range (0.52-0.56 Mu) with a temperature range from 100°C to 850°C
- High friction level (0.52 to 0.56mu) for powerful braking performance
- Requires light bedding in only
- Ideal for sprints, hill climbs, rally or short races
PBS ProComp S2 brake pads have been developed by racers for racers and have been successfully used in many MSA and European championships. The pad material is bonded to the back plate using NUCAP NRS. This system utilises hundreds of steel hooks which creates a permanent mechanical bond to the friction material eliminating the risk of pad separation. During manufacture the pads are subjected to a heat curing process which removes unwanted gasses. This process eliminates the necessity for a lengthy bedding in process.
Performance Brake Solutions (PBS) ProRace brake pads are designed for competition / off road use, and as such are not approved for use on the road.
