This GCU501 is a powerful transmission controller and logger packaged in a compact and environmentally sealed ABS casing. Connectivity is with standard DTM connectors and communication link is via a simple USB connection. The programming of the GCU 501 is done through the simple to use Shiftec software that features ready set up tabs and templates. The GCU501 provides identical functionality to the GCU500 but with the addition of TPS input and output control and processing that allows the GCU to control drive by wire throttle systems to produce the up change torque reduction and down change blip via throttle position change.
