Forge's Turbo Inlet Adaptor replaces a piece of restrictive, factory-fitted pipework with a much better-flowing cast turbo inlet adaptor and larger bore silicone pipe combination enhancing flow and turbo response.
- Precision-engineered CNC machined Billet Aluminium turbo inlet adaptor gives a smoother, more durable connection.
- Smoother internal bores reduce turbulence and increase air intake volume and speed to regain power lost to poor pipework design.
- Routes air more directly to your turbo reducing turbo lag, improving turbo spool times and giving more responsive acceleration.
- A more durable larger bore mandrel-bent hard pipe and silicone inlet hoses replaces the more restrictive plastic OE pipework, which is also prone to deterioration over time.
- Includes all necessary fittings and instructions.
Some engines come from the factory with restrictive sections of pipework, in many cases, these inlet hoses are "accordion-style" hoses which increase turbulence in the pipework caused by ridges on the walls of the pipe.
Replacing these sections of pipework with better-designed pipework will ensure that your turbo isn't being restricted. Forge has made these pipes wider (from 48mm to 63mm) than the original pipe giving a 53% capacity increase, to allow for more air to flow into the turbo giving decreased spool times and improved throttle response.
Most pipework on an OE engine is plastic or rubber, which degrades over time, so replacing it with durable aluminium or silicone sections helps guard against future boost leaks. The use of a larger bore inlet adaptor and inlet pipe also allows for more significant gains when remapping your vehicle.
These silicone hoses from Forge Motorsport have an inner liner made of modified silicone called Fluorosilicone, which makes them perfect for use with modern long-life coolants, Organic Acid Technology coolants (O.A.T.), or air-flow containing oil mist. Not only do these hoses surpass OEM fitments, but they also improve the technical and aesthetic aspects of any engine bay.
Combined with a high-quality cold air induction kit you can expect to see on average dyno gains over the stock setup, using a tuning box gains of between 4-5 BHP and up to 10 lbft of torque (Forge testing - exhaust and tuning box), noticeable from 2800RPM were measured.
The more direct routing method of the new adaptor and hose allows for a shorter and smoother intake system giving your turbo the most amount of breathing space possible. This additional air has a positive effect on accelerating after long deceleration or in between gear changes due to more air being kept in the intake system.
